But otherwise, the components are good?

Like the 500gb drive you linked to.
Its made by LG who themselves make the panels and in terms of max brightness, etc matches the Samsung and it also has FreeSync which will be useful.

If you don't mind getting a smaller monitor this is even better for gaming purposes:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-Monitor.../dp/B0158L13M4
    https://uk.hardware.info/reviews/641...-aoc-g2260vwq6

Even though it does not have the largest FreeSync range,it will help to reduce tearing in games. There is a 24" version, but its £130 and gets very good reviews though.

The SSD is made by Crucial who are part of Micron who actually make the NAND themselves.

TBH,if you do want to save some money, you could get a smaller, normal SSD and 8GB of RAM:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076Y374ZH/?tag=22
    https://www.cclonline.com/product/24...Gray-/RAM3683/

BTW,if you want to save a bit more money, you can buy this motherboard:

    https://www.cclonline.com/product/23...board/MBD2215/
    https://www.cclonline.com/product/24...oler-/CPU0536/

If you buy the CPU too from CCL Computers apparently if you ask them beforehand they will update the BIOS for you free(its needed as the 2400G won't boot with it otherwise).

That will get you closer to £615.

Also you need dual channel RAM,running at least at 2666MHZ,otherwise it really affects graphics performance - 3000MHZ RAM is ideally what you need to aim for.

A single DIMM of RAM,or slow RAM really hampers performance.

M2 is just the form factor - the ones I suggested are both SATA anyway,so the performance will be similar.

If you look inside most 2.5" SSDs they are mostly empty space now!!

    I saw this deal:

    https://www.ebuyer.com/755734-pny-cs...d7cs900-480-pb

I dunno how PNY are for SSDs,but that is very cheap. There is this PCI-E M.2 256GB SSD for less than the Samsung:

    https://www.cclonline.com/product/24...Drive/SSD0677/

Also regarding the RAM that set is on the QVL for the motherboard:

    https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/Fatal1...dex.asp#Memory

The reason I am talking about Freesync is because it helps reduce tearing during gaming and the 2400G integrated graphics supports it.

    Edit!!

The slightly cheaper RAM isn't on the QVL so go with the other set.

    Re: Itx build help

If you are playing games, you are going to struggle to get 3 modern games onto a 250GB SSD. Twice the size for £20 more seems the way to go personally.

Edit: If you aren't in a hurry, we are a month off Black Friday so I expect offers to start turning up.

Good point. £20 more is not a lot.

I would seriously consider even a cheap FreeSync monitor just to help out the IGP. If that does not bother you there is this deal:

    https://www.ebuyer.com/785672-acer-s...ign=hotukdeals

BTW,that 500GB SSD was originally £60,but even though this isn't the fastest SSD this is very cheap:

    https://www.ebuyer.com/842368-toshib...00-25sat3-480g

Quick before HUKD jumps on it!!

    Re: Itx build help

Was thinking of changing my mind and going for a 27 or 28 inch monitor. No idea which one is cheap but still good? Going to put it on a wall arm ( Looking at those too).

500gb ssd i would prefer a fast one.

My last drive was a Crucial MX500, and am very happy with it. Samsung have a good name for speed and reliability. I would choose one of those.

A note from your list, you have *only* the Windows licence & media as coming from CCL. It's been a few years, but last time I bought and OEM Windows licence part of the MS conditions is that it has to be purchased with computer hardware so you might find they are unable to sell it to you unless you order hardware from them (a cheap mouse used to be the minimum). Perhaps try and buy that first, if you already have everything else you would have to buy some hardware you don't need to get the OEM licence!
