Trying to quieten down my case but don't want to go down water cooled route so looking for good aircooler for processor.
Have heard good things about XP120 but on their site, it says I need to tilt some caps to get it to fit. Is this a good idea, will it damage anything?
btw, is there now a better(good airflow but quiet) aircooler for the A64 or is the xp120 still at the top of the tree?
How much do they need to be tilted? if they are bang straight onto the board without
any legs then they are not going to go very far.
don't know. just on thermaltake's site, it states some tilting is necessary.
Moving them won't make any difference to them... just don't snap the legs off!
In fact, even if they snap you might still have a useable motherboard - but it's not worth the risk.
They will prob fatigue and snap after just a few bends - so if u do it make sure u dont keep bending it back and forth, just do it once!
Um, once they're bent back they're bent back, why would you do it more than once?
If they say it fits on the Thermalright site, then go for it I say:).

dunno, maybe once he bent it he liked bending it and then did it again....

If disaster strikes and a cap does snap off, you could probably solder a replacement back on if you're confident with a soldering iron. Still, being careful in the first place is an easier option.
