    Logitech G430 7.1 headphone advice

    Evening peeps

    Need a bit of advise.

Recently bought a set of these from eBay for £4.

Nothing wrong with them as I found in full working condition. The seller posted them as sounding funny. What I did find is that the usb adaptor that comes with it is missing which after some investigation, is how you power the 7.1 surround.

I cannot see anywhere online to buy a new one so I began looking at Amazon.

The ones that I can see I think are to simulate 7.1 on stereo headphones.

Can anyone recommend one suitable for these headphones.

    Thanks

Not a recommendation, but pointing out in case you'd somehow missed these things.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Adaptor-Log...dp/B00FH1KTFI/

According to that, it's the same adapter you're looking for, although at that price (unless you take a chance on the 'Used' option at half the price), you'd be able to get a brand new headset with adapter for only a tenner more, or an Amazon Warehouse option for a few pounds less: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Ga...dp/B00CJ5FPUE/ (only checked Amazon, may be cheaper elsewhere)

Another option may be to contact Logitech directly in case you can get a replacement cheaper from them.

Technically, I think it is simulating it on stereo headphones normally anyway, but with the software being the key most of the time. In which case, it might be worth trying Razer's Surround Sound software (the free version, probably no need for the pro - and I haven't used either version anyway) to see if it's good enough as it says it's for any stereo headset.

I have this headset and honestly the "7.1" is garbage, I don't use the feature. They are pretty decent stereo 'phones though.
