    SB81P + Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro - Hissing/distortion

I have recently bought a SB81P. Everything works fine except my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro.

When turned up, there is quite a loud hissing and slight buzz. Once turned down to normal volume, the hiss is barely audible, but it makes normal sound appear distorted.

I have moved all the hardware near it (hard disk, CD drive, graphics card) with no success.

I have contacted Creative about it. They suggest it may be an IRQ problem. I have followed all their suggestions with no success. Note that my sound card works fine in my other computer, and it isn't the speakers.

I also contacted Shuttle who weren't particularly helpful. They suggested checking if there was an IRQ conflict in the device manager, which I said there wasn't. They also suggested switching PCI slots (this was Shuttle support?!), or returning the Shuttle as faulty.

I have changed all the BIOS settings that Creative have suggested.

    Any ideas?
