Thumbs up Motherboard, DFI/ASUS/other random board maker?

    Well, i have a choice.

Buy the DFI nforce4 ultra or hold out for the ASUS nforce4 ultra. I suppose i could also consider some other brands as well.

The ASUS NF4 SLI one though had quite a few complaints about it and its speed is a little less than the DFI SLI (but only small) I dont want sli though, so i would presume that the DFI would also have the upper hand in the NF4 ultra market as well.

So put in the position which would you put you money on?

Well DFI are known to have a few problems sometimes, don't know if this is the case with the NF4 ultra board.
I would go for the ASUS myself, but it's all down to personal preference.

Davion - the Fatal1ty AN8 is an AMD board. The Fatal1ty AA8XE is the Intel version.

I second that - exactly the same situation - but then, anything will be better than an Asus mobo that fails to POST, so...

Care to look again? Even the pictures show the box have A64 on it.

I'd go for the ASUS A8N if you are not a hardcore overclocker. If you are then it doesn't matter much because you can mod any board to get what you want. I'd go DFI for overclocking. I've still got a bad taste in my mouth from all of the bad ABit A64 boards I've had (about 80% bad) although I have not tested the newest ABit boards. Just the name is pretty scary. It takes balls to name your motherboard Fatality. I'd prefer the name Toast, but both are pretty risky names for a motherboard.
