My overclocking results (XP2500 in SN41G2)

Well I've gotta say I'm quite chuffed. Although I'm only running on 256mb of ram atm (had to get rid of a stick that was holding me back) I'm now running 100% stable at 11 x 195 = 2.15ghz. That's pretty damn sweet, especially considering I can't up the voltage for cpu/ram/anything as there is no facility for it.

Running nice and cool too with a quiet panaflo fan. 42C idle and it doesn't go much above that when loaded.

    Very happy with that

(Now all I need is another stick of ram that'll do those speeds)

    I can't get my 2500 past 10 x 200mhz fsb on my SN45G! It's getting on my nerves! :/

I tried upping the voltage but the temp goes way over 54C with the fan on max, looks like I'm gonna stick with stability this time and leave it at stock speed

Are you using the shim? I don't use it and I've heard that you get a better contact without it. Also I'm using AS3 - I wouldn't reccomend the goop that came with it.

I used to goop that came with it, I'm too stingy to go out and buy AS3, I may as well tho.

Haven't tried it without the shim on but I'll give it a go like. I can't see how it will affect performance at all coz it's only a bit of metal
