in your opinion - HD's do need some cooling , although the above stack is possibly a little OTT , it shows what can be done :)
dorky are they mounted with a gap between each drive ?
Infact it's everyone opinion who knows anything about water. HDD'as do not need water cooling, neither does the chipset. waste of money, and adds more restriction to loop.Quote:

can you overclock a HD?
its about respecting what other people have done , even if in your view it is not nessesary.
I personally think that watercooling is a bit OTT , but if that the way people choose to go , then fair play.
dont rubbish things just because you dont like them. I've warned you before. I won't warn you again. respect other peoples views or dont post. its your choice.
hi there,
I've talked more on details and reasons "why I went" for hard drive watercooling in this forum located here:

thanx :)
Well in that case, you should respect my view and opinions as well then. :) I dob't have to suck up because someone has done something, i think HD cooling is a waste and i said so, the topic title says necessity of HDD cooling. :cool:Quote:

I wrote up a complete step-by-step on "how to" do it here:

At first I thought it was a little crazy to do it too, but the results have been very good. I cannot see myself going back to air cooling hard drives again...
