TEC cooling - any good?

Seen this http://www.quietpc.com/uk/amdcooling.php#activecool (last item at bottom of page) and thought it looks interesting.

Any idea of how effective and quiet these are?

anyone any experience?

Read up on TEC theory before you buy. I think you will findit i inadequate for cooling anything recent..

Aircooled TECs suck with modern CPUs and a waste of time.

Get a decent heatsink like Thermalright XP120 which will probably do better!!

If you want TECs than get a 227w TEC under a Maze4 with 120.3 Rad and a 1250 pump which by the time you've done that you may as well go phase change!

Yeah I think the general thoughts on TEC today is that by the time you have paid for the watercooling and bothered with all the moisture protection and extra power requirements for the cost you might as well go phase change and have better temps.
