    Multiplayer + HTT

    Hey : I have a problem understanding the multplayer and its effect on the overclocking .
    I have 64 2800 with giga-byte k8ns 250g Nforce. I am trying to overclock the cpu . i could reach 2.25( HTT250 * 9 ) but it is unstable . . i Know that HTT is very important to overclock the cpu . but what about the mltiplayer , what if i decrease it , will that decrease the overall perormace like ( HTT 250 *5 M) ?and will it affet the stability ?????

    Thanks

    Lowering the multiplier will increase stability, but too much will affect performance.

    Did you remember to knock the HTT speed down to 4x from 5? Anything over 200 makes this go past 1000 which may be your problem, have a read of the below for all you need to know about clocking 64's

    Lowering the HTT mult will allow you to increase the speed of the processor. I got my HTT to run at 1.3Ghz but it wouldn't cold boot, so I lowered the mult to 4x and now it runs lovely at around the 1Ghz mark.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();
