    Which setup

Seen this on another forum and interested as i am after a small PC system. Not interested in super graphics. Would like to play the occasional game. Which would you choose? I also own a 27" monitor with freesync. I do own a small itx case too but was thinking of getting a better one if i didnt go with the A300.

    Re: Which setup

Performance wise there won't be much in it - the first option is potentially more futureproof/upgradeable (depending on case used), the second is smaller. If you go the Asrock A300 route you need to remove the top shroud of the cooler to make it fit, this doesn't affect performance. The 3400g is out now too, which is slightly faster than the 2400g, but also means there are some good 2400g deals around.

Whichever route you take you should get faster RAM. Ryzen benefits substantially from faster memory and even more so with the APUs. The integrated graphics are constrained by memory bandwidth so faster ram and ensuring it's dual channel (2x8 rather than 1x16) brings tremendous benefits. https://www.tomshardware.co.uk/raven...iew-34228.html

    A quick look on CCL:
    Ryzen 3400G
    Ballistix Sport LT 16GB (2x 8GB) CL15 3000MHz
    ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac
    Antec NeoECO Modular 550W
    Intel 660p 512GB M.2-2280 NVMe PCIe SSD
    £438.99

So faster RAM and the newer CPU shouldn't add much and shopping around will likely bring that total down.

    Re: Which setup

I agree with Bagnaj97, valid points and faster ram is quite cheap now days.
