About LinkBacksMy question is, will the 3870 X2 work on say an nvidia chipset and could a 9800 GX2 work on an intel chipset, i realise two of the cards won't work, but was wondering if just a single one will (as they will only use 1 slot).

Yes, i read earlier today that a 3870 X2 will work on any motherboard with a single or multiple PCI-E slot. Doesnt matter about chipset, as the bridge/connector on the card itself does all the information sharing.

Don't know about the 9800 though.
