Dont bend them....
and if you do....make sure you KNOW you bent them, then unbend them.
Applies to all SCSI ribbon cables, and I guess also to EIDE cables etc.
I'll go get a life now.....sad I lost so many hours to it :(
*sigh*

lol.....no mate....no Big Bang....
but then as I spent SO MUCH TIME trying to install a partition on the drive that frankly it NEARLY went the way of the Bog Roll....ie Down the bog :(
But no.....no big bang :)
thnx, ripped the plastic clip that holds the pin in on one of the 160gb maxtor sata drives just the other day.
oh forgot, death to ribbon cables!!! grr
ultra 160scsi connectors are evil. ive broken a pin on one of those before.
paralell port cables (mobo header) are about 10x worse... at least u can get hdd ones in without having to remove THE WHOLE ENTIRE MOBO!!!! then u pull the wire off the connector when u relise u got it aligned wrong ...n then alfter a few hours of trying to fix this the scanner still dont work.. fkn thing..
Yes. And do not try to plug in screens without actually being able to see the VGA socket. I got it totally misaligned once, bending two pins and breaking off another on my one screen's connector. :(
