What V2.0 PSU do you recommend?

I would love to hear what models everyone recommends. I need to drive a AMD 64 with PCI-E gpu. I've been looking at the Antec NeoPower. Anything better? No crap please.

Enermax Noisetaker or Seasonic S12, by far the best psu's available, very high efficiency at over 80% and nice and quiet, plus both are of excellent quality.

I have to strongly disagree on the Enermax. In the past they've made some great power supplies (at a premium of course) but recently I have found Antec to be more reliable. Not sure if it's a design thing or Quality Control problem but Enermax has slipped a bit recently, especially with the Noisetaker series.

The Antec Neopower 480 is a monster. Very good PSU, especially if you run SLI. I still use Enermax (I have a 651 that still works very well) but I really like what Antec has been doing recently. Very good!!!

Tagan 480w for me, its not the best but the best costs. This is a geat value PSU (bt £70)

Great PSU for overclocking. It's fairly new still so reliability is largely not known, but they seem to be very good. I'm testing one right now.

How much does the 600W OCZ PSU cost? I can never find it. The Antec NewPower is the one to go with if you want 100% stability, but the Tagan isn't bad either. Worth a look.

It costs around £135 inc, but the UK variant stock that made it into the country pre-March has a fault which is affecting a fair few people, so OCZ have got thier hands full with RMA's and swapouts..

Antec are ok, but their efficiency is terrible at only around 68% compared with 82% for an enermax or seasonic.
For instance a high powered prescott system probably uses about 200W
on an enermax that means about 250W power draw and 50W heat. on an antec thats more like 295W and 95W heat!

OCZ are better with around 78% efficiency but the north american version is Passive PFC which is not a good thing.

I've known a lot of people who use the Noisetaker range and never heard any complaints from them, most people regard the enermax range as one of the best made and most reliable available.

I pulled the trigger on an OCZ Powerstream 520w. They look like well built units and the wattage was attractive. I just hope its stable.

I have an OCZ powerstream (520W), I've had it for about 6 months now, fantastic piece of kit, you can manually adjust each rail's volt via a pot at the back of the psu. Fantastic. Has never waivered on me (totally stable rails).
