    CPU GPU combo question

Ok so I'm thinking for my new build R5 1600 AF and a 2060..or a R5 3600 and a 1660 super mainly for gaming. Will the 2060 give me more frames than a 3600?

You mean than a 1660 (with 3600 CPU)?

Well in CPU limited games you'll get more frames with the 3600/1660 combo. In GPU limited you'll get more with the 1600/2060 combo. The key difference is when you are CPU limited you're probably talking about frame rates in the 100s anyway, so unless you are an ultra-low latency e-sports gamer you might not need extra frames there, while GPU limits might result in sub 60 frames per second, where you will notice an improvement. So I'd go for the 2060.
