I need an inrterim PSU and cooler for Sabertooth Z97mark 2, 4790K cooler + paste

    My PC keeps shutting down
I've traced the fault to a passive SMD component off a pin on the PS223 monitoring IC on the PSU Cooler Master V750 semi-modular Gold (RS750-AMAA-G1)

With the current situation and trying to worl off an awful converted Chromebook it's going to take me a while to find out what that component was and if other components are faulty , source an IC and passives.

So I need an interim PSU

A new air 1150 CPU cooler as well as stock cooler is getting noisy. If I can use it on more current socket that's handier for future upgrades
Decent preferably non-conductive thermal paste but not pricey

    Z97Mk2 1150
    i7 4790K
Intel Original E97379-003 CPU Cooler Fan OEM
    GTX770 x1
    2,5" SDD OS and apps
    1TB HDD
    1TB HDD
    4TB HDD old media (retiring)
    10TB Samsung Red Pro media

    +USB3.0 charging

    750W was more than sufficient?

I'll be buying from Scan as they are still shipping (for now)

    Recommendations please. Many thanks

450W would be enough for that setup. Something like this should be more than enough:
    https://www.scan.co.uk/products/650w...mm-fan-atx-psu

The 500W version isn't much cheaper, otherwise that would be enough. A mate is running an FX6350 and an R9 390 off a Seasonic made Antec 550W PSU for the last 5 years, and your system probably consumes far less power.

One of these coolers should be fine IMHO:

The arctic freezer 7 is notable as it's pretty much the only cooler on the market to claim compatibility with the next intel socket (LGA1200), but as the mounting holes should be unchanged then any other cooler that supports your current socket should also work
    https://www.scan.co.uk/products/arct...er-heatpipes-i

The freezer 34 from arctic also comes in a bit cheaper than the hyper 212 and should perform about the same (both with 4 6mm heatpipes and a 120mm fan), but has a much lower minimum fan speed (just 200 RPM!) so will be quieter at idle

Thanks all I ordered a Freezer 34 and a Corsair 750W. The ten year warranty I thought was worth paying a little extra for.
