desperately need new NF7-v2 chpset cooler and 6600gt cooler aswell!

Ok, the northbridge cooler on my NF7 is driving me insane with it's high pitched up and down whirring. Unfortunately, the cooler on my xfx agp is exactly the same niose. It grinds to start with and then it's like an up-down whirring sound which is really noisy and annoying. All of my other fans are near silent, arctic cooling on my cpu, 2 panaflo and 2 fans of 7v to keep them quiet, and the antec true power is silent. It's just these 2 driving me insane, can you recommend me a northbridge cooler and a agp vga cooler for my 6600gt, thanks, John.

How does the Zalman Northbridge Cooler compare to the standard Abit one, does it run cooler along with no noise?

its a passive one, so no noise at all

i can overclock to the same levels with it, so i presume it does at least as good a job as the stock one.

I think my 6600gt agp fan has started to get a lot loader, has anybody got any quiet fan solutions for it?? It's driving me nuts. I can hear the fan outside my room and down the hall and when I'm playing music off my pc and watching a dvd I can hear it. Any help?

I have just turned on my PC and the gpu fan seems to be relatively quiet compared to usual at start up, then it starts to make a churning noise and steadily gets loader until it reaches full loadness which is what it's at now. hmmm

Will default full fan speed on, i am 55c normal and 80c under load! thats a bit much. I have tried a program called expertool from gainwood and that made it mighty quiet, could hear my self think, but im worried about temp, because even at default they reach 80-82c! John

WOW, expertool is amazing. I recommend anybody with noisy 6600gts to get it! here is the link:http://www.gainward.com/html/downloa.../expertool.htm

What it does it allow you to control the fan speed in 2d and 3d, i have set my 2d fan speed to 55% rather than 100% and the difference is amazing! I have also set the 3d speed to 95% and it never goes above 82 degrees! brilliant. My card is an XFX 6600gt.

It also works on the 6800 series as well i think.

Does it work with all brands of 6600 and 6800?

I think it will only work on those with sensors, so maybe not on the msi, but give it a go, gpu's are able to withstand temps of way over 100 degreees anyways.
