Talking Best aftermarket 6800 AGP cooler for a G series Shuttle?

    Hi,

This is what I hope is a simple question. Just built up a new SN95G5 with a 6800LE AGP card in it and the OEM cooling on the card is shockingly bad and it is doing no favours for the internal ambient temps of my otherwise cool running (and modded) shuttle.

What I want to know is what good aftermarket coolers work well with the 6800LE (Gainward, looks like a reference board) and will work well with the shuttles confined 1/1.5 slots clearance.

I would also want to use the card in my SN85G5 but as there both G series the clearance issues should be the same. The SN95G5 has an ALU/mesh grill fitted so getting airflow over the card should not be a big problem.

In one word no, unless you use a artic cooler, which means you have to mod the side of the case to fit it.

Damm, modding this Shuttle is not an option . The SN85G4 is my project PC (as are the 3 G series cases in the bits box ).

Hmmm, I wonder if an old Zalman GFX heatpipe from a 4800 could be modded, time to check out non off the shelf options .
