Not sure how lucky you're gonna be with this... 107C is definately in the "good chance of going to CPU heaven" zone.

Got an xp1600 AGOIA Y to 95c and still worked fine, even with the same overclock as before...must have been running at that temperature or hotter for a good 5 hours with the fan unplugged before I returned home to save it.

Thats pretty impressive. The worst I have got a component to is when I replaced an active northbridge heatsink with a zalman passive heatsink. Temps went up to 91c and I soon put the fan back on!

i have seen my old atlhonXP hit 97c when i forgot to attach the fan , its still working to this day, guess i was lucky ?

As a footnote to the story, the following morning I retrieved it from the skip. Stripped it down cleaned it & re-built it over the weekend. Fited a new Sunon ball bearing fan. Wiped the bios. Plugged it in & by golly if it doesn't work just fine & dandy

I did, but seeing as this place is fully CCTV'd up these days I took it back to my office for a bit of TLC & not home. Not worth getting sacked over
