    Logitech MX510 Eratice Behaviour

I have had my Logitech MX 510 for about 2years, it great, and i love it, but over the last few weeks it started behaving rather oddey, every now and then it shoots the curser up/down the lenght of the screen, for no apprent reason. i've google these symtoms, but all i can find it people who are trying to use it on plain white melomane or simular surfaces it cant hack. But i have always used this mouse mat, and other that geting a little grubbyer than it did, its still the same mat!

-What should i do, should i try and get a replacement or what?

Have you tried cleaning the camera lens with white spirit? would suggest either the camera is degrading or has become dirty...

I doubt it's the mat. Either way, if I'm not mistaken, the MX510 has a 3 year warranty. Getting it replaced may be your best bet.

Have you made any major changes to the software? It might be worth reinstalling the driver, you never know.

I had the exact same problem. Turned out to be a do hair wedged in wear the lens is. Took it out with a pair of tweezers and problem is solved.
