Thanks but why are they better?
I think they come recommended because they are cheap and have half decent surround sound. From play.com iirc.
Have they sorted out the problems with that product?Originally Posted by skuzgib
Maybe it was just bad press but seems like everyone has received a broken headset from them
Great price/features though
Sounds nice - thanks! My primary aim is to get good mic quality in CS... the USB option of the Sennheisers attracts me as I can just plug them into the front of my base unit.Originally Posted by skuzgib
Wow, they're not cheap!Originally Posted by skuzgib
Any surround sound alternatives?
I have some really cheapo ones at the mo...very UNcomfortable!!
Windows XP / 1.1MB Orange BB: E6600 Core 2 Duo Gigabyte GA 965P-DS3P EVGA 8800GTS Superclocked WD 250GB SATA2/300 2GB Corsair TwinX 6400 DDR2 Corsair HX 520 PSU 17in LG Flatron SONY DVD RW DRU-800A Akasa Zen case SB Audigy
£40 isn't that bad, I have a set and box alone is probably worth £10 it's lush!
I'd like some BOSE Noise cancelling ones... I think I know where my first pay check is going!
I have http://www.sennheisercommunications.co.uk/pr-pc150.html (seem to be the non-usb version of what you're looking at).
Very comfortable to wear, nice sound output and the mic seems to be good quality (hard to say as I don't talk to myself with it).

I have the Speedlink Medusa's as well. No problems with them at all and the surround sound works really well. Have to agree with Tifosi as well, the box is lovely.
What are you talking about , the Medusas are the cheapest 5.1 surround headphones around, and they have a built in mic which is not standard on other headsets. You cant really go wrong.Originally Posted by poindextermatic
