Some games you can use a keyboard and mouse on but not all. Apparently there is something you can buy which allows you to use a mouse and keyboard in all games. Not sure how good it is though

Since going changing my trusted corsair sticks over to Patriot viper I haven't had a problem Doing research on the ROG forums the crosshair hero VIII does not like corsair sticks for some reason. In a week now I haven't had any issues. Now just to buy another 16gb and sell my corsair sticks.

It isn't just the Crosshair board. PC Specialist built a couple of PCs for the company I work for, and for some reason they insist on running Corsair ram with no other options. One was a 3900X with 32GB of 3200MHz ram and they just couldn't get it to work despite changing ram sticks and various motherboards (and I think the CPU). In the end it dragged on long enough that they actually found some 3600MHz ram that they could underclock to 3200 and that worked.

Its more to do with the fact Corsair uses any memory ICs they can find - so its a mix of Hynix,Micron or Samsung memory ICs.

Certainly a year ago the 32GB kits were all just a write-off though. Normally with ram it's a case of "yeah that will work, but there is better out there" but those 3200MHz 32GB kits would not work at rated speed in AMD rigs. You had to underclock to about 2933, and being a PC building company they had plenty of things to swap out. I guess most customers chose 16GB and/or 2666MHz which should work. It looked like the RGB kits might have worked as well.

Well the good thing is I have gone from RGB to non-RGB. Going to put my corsair sticks for sale on facebook marketplace. Pity as they are not even a year old.
