AIO comparison - Lian-Li Galahad 240 vs Asus ROG Strix LC240

    Hey

So I'm looking for a white AIO to cool a 5800X and I've currently narrowed my options down to 2. Mainly due to aesthetics. I've seen a few posts and videos on the Galahad but not much on the ROG. I can pick it up for around £130 - which puts it in a similar price bracket to the Galahad.

Wondering if anyone has had any experience with the above and can let me know their thoughts?

    Thanks

They are pretty much the same rebranded cooler, though the lian li looks like a gen 4 asetek and the ROG a gen 5 - in use you wouldn't notice.

Going from their product pages the fans on the ROG claim to have higher performance in terms of airflow and static pressure, take those numbers with a pinch of salt, but Lian-Li's "claims" are much lower for the fans.

Personally, and with zero research, I'd go for the ROG based on the potentially newer pump design and fan performance, but you'd probably want to check some independent reviews for noise levels - temps are going to be within a degree or 2 of each other. The biggest decider is likley going to be aesthetics, as you say.

Did you decide in the end? I'm quite literally in the same position but for the 360 version.

Thanks for the help guys. Corsair just released their new h100i Capellix in white so I went for that in the end.. Should be with me by next week.

What size did you get? 240/280/360? It seems pretty expensive compared to other corsair AIOs.

Got the 240. The 280 doesn't come in white unfortunately. It's going into a Lian-Li O11 Dynamic Mini so 240 is really all I can get in there. And yes, a little dearer but good temps and looks great imo. Plus I had a £15 paypal deal with Amex to bring it down to £134.99, so works out okay in the end.
