AMD64 3500+ overclocking temperature

Is anyone OCing a 3500+? What temps are you getting?
I've had mine a few weeks now running at stock, but feel obliged to see what it can do.
Before, it stayed under 38C under load (running F@H 24/7), but now I've cranked up the settings it's up to 60C.
Some of that is down to the room being warmer, but it's still too hot for comfort.
The code on the CPU is ADA3500DIK4BI.
AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor Power and Thermal Data Sheet suggests the max temp is 70C, but doesn't have an exact match for my code. Some CPUs are rated at just 63C.

Any thoughts?
Maybe I should use the CMOS reloaded hotkeys to choose standard/overclocked settings at bootup.

(Testing stable at:
250FSB, X10 CPU ratio, X4 LDT ratio, CPU VID 1.55V,
up from defaults 200/11/5/1.4.)

Mine (when overclocked) sits at 40ºC, but it is watercooled. Max on mine according to code is 65ºC.

i overclocked mine to 2.4ghz and it sat stable at 30oc and even went down to 29oc - i know thats only 200mhz but it should make it as qwick as a 3800+
btw that was using the stock heatsink - i was very suprised with the out come

I've reached 2.6 with the stock cooler before I swapped it for 1 of the heatpipe coolers that are supplied with the FX-55.

With smartfan enabled it only rotates at about 1500~1800 rpm's and the BIOS keeps warning me @ the bootup about CPU fan failure

Heat pipes? Got 6 in my HS, a Coolermaster Hyper 6.
It does a good job at stock speeds - ambient air now 29C (outside case!!!) CPU is 46C under load.
In fact the CPU temp is 6C less than the System temp as reported by nVMonitor.

The HS itself is good, but I think the fan is not really up to continuous use+overclocking.

I'm back at stock for now. Although I was up from 2.2GHz to 2.5 GHz, the machine was slower according to 3DMark05, as I had to slow the memory down.

Maybe a more modest OC would let me keep the memory at good settings, but I'm not sure it's worth it until I improve airflow.

I think the overclocking causes a big increase in temps. My 3000+ hits 62C full load when OC to 2700mhz at 1.52V and thats with an xp-120 and a 192cfm delta fan. Youve just got to find a happy medium

I get 57 degrees on a stock cooler at 2.45Ghz, its aNewcastle core 1.6v.

My 3000+ winnie spaw is running at 9X278 with 1.4v and a xp-90.It sits at 36 degs idle 42 full load.

I was just reading that the Newcastle cores run hotter than Winchester and Venice ..
