    P4 3GHz - Running Temp?

Hi, Just starting to get into overclocking

My P4 3GHz 800fsb (Northwood) is currently running at around 32 - 37 degress C when in normal use (not gaming).

My system temp is around 22 - 26 degrees C

Can anyone tell me what the running temp should be for the CPU of this kind?

    Cheers

How do I go about testing the CPU under full load?

The temps I gave are from EasyTune4 (got it with my mobo) while using the computer for general use (such as internet etc)

    Cheer

Its like trying to predict how hot you'll be in a country!

It varies dependant on CPU load, ambient temp, cooling, case, humdity etc

That temp is well below spec. Thermal Spec on yours is about 66C to 70C depending on your stepping.

Go here and fill out your chip info and you'll get all the info you need for you chip: Intel sSpec
