    Question help with PSU

    HI there, i've just bought a new motherboard with a 24pin power socket. I currently have a TAGAN 380W PSU (20 pins), if im just going to buy a converter for it (20 to 24 pins) am i going to have any problems(ie compatibility, performance) or should i just buy a new PSU(24pins)

    Have you bought a new CPU or GPU or something as well?

    You can probably get away with not even getting the adapter - just plug it in leaving four pins at one side - it should only fit in one way, but check first to make sure, and if in doubt come back here. What motherboard is it?
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    yeah i've done that, i tried using my 20pin PSU onto my new mobo(24 pinner) without any converter and it worked, i also tried playing some high resolution games such as CS:Source and its still fine and at the moment the machine is folding @ 100% CPU usage. Meaning my PSU is giving enough power to all my components. I'll continue using this for now, until my new TAGAN 480 arrives
