Keyboard + Mouse for Gaming
Hey,
Hoping to get some advice on a good keyboard and mouse combo for playing some games, I’ve currently got a Logi MX Keys / MX3 and although they are great for typing and general day-to-day use (the main reason I chose them was that they can be connected to three devices at once) they continuously experience dropouts, lagging, stutters and lockups while playing games, making them almost unplayable and definitely not enjoyable.
Not looking to break the bank, just want something solid and reliable which will function well for gaming (bonus if it can also be connected to multiple devices at once).
Thanks in advance,
R

I have a Steelseries Rival 3 mouse, works exactly as you expect and a HyperX Alloy Core RGB keyboard. It's nice to type on. You don't need the RGB on if thats not your thing.
Both are wired however. I found wireless was ok but a bit hit and miss at times depending on what I was doing.

Though reading it again looks like you maybe after something wireless which makes my previous post a bit moot

Hi Jon, no not at all, open to both options, tbh I think a lot of my current issues stem from utilising a wireless setup as I wasn’t having these issues when I had my wired keyboard and mouse in place.
The multi device setup is all operated from one desk, I just have my gaming PC, a server and then a laptop so it was nice to just have one keyboard and mouse for everything but I’d happily go back to individual setups for each as long as it fixes my current issues, so I’ll take a look at both the devices you mentioned.

I've got wired KB+M and a little USB 2-way switch, running through my monitor with a 4 port USB hub. One cable and a push of a button to switch between laptop & desktop for peripherals.
I previously used a Logitech wireless keyboard, it seemed very reliable except when reviving someone in L4D and I would just stop - held keys just dropped out for a fraction of a second which reset the process. Switched to wired after that.
For choice - I just picked a decent brand that was on sale, ended up with 2 Logitech keyboards with no complaints, both light up but no RGB (fortunately). Mouse wise the same. G413 Carbon keyboard and G402 mouse down here, can't remember what the other ones are.
