Weird things happening

Hello everyone.

I started building a pc for a friend with all new parts.
cpu - ryzen 5600
mobo - gigabyte 550m ds3h
mem - 2x8gb corsair rgb
gpu - rx5600xt
hdd - 1tb crucial p2 nvme
psu - corsair 650w

Put everything together, installed windows, updated drivers everything going smoothly.
Power down went back to restart and nothing. Gets to Gigabyte logo screen and freeze.
Restarted. enter bios put everything on default but still the same.
Things i have done.
cpu - took out cleaned and reinstalled
mem - tried 1 stick in every slot. Used my set of known working ram and did the same
hdd, remove the nvme replace with another. Tested nvme on my system. Change to ssd drive same result
psu, used another psu
gpu, put in a geforce 730 for testing
Bios, updated to latest version from gigabyte, took battery out, ran at default.

I this 1 bit at a time and the result was the same.
I reinstalled windows twice on the nvme, strange it lets me do this but once power down I can't boot pass the logo screen.

I am heading towards a corrupt motherboard.
Does anyone else have any move suggestion on what I can try?

When you say latest BIOS, as in F16a, or F15?

Do you have another am4 cpu to test with?

Have you tried booting from the second nvme slot? Given what you've tried, it really can only be the cpu or a faulty motherboard, I think.

I would start with resetting the BIOS to defaults, and then look up the memory timing and voltage, and make sure they are set OK.

Booting from a live Linux USB stick can be interesting as well, sometimes the Linux kernel log shows errors where Windows just stops.

Have you set the SSD to ACHI mode?

Disable the flash screen so you get the boot screen, it may tell you. Unfortunately no one has a buzzer these days, so no error code.

I would go with CtV initially, it looks like some Bios setting.

Updated to bios F16a
Tried from 2nd slot nvme
reset bios, took battery out etc

I have now RMA it and waiting for a replacement. I don't have another cpu to test but i gone down the route of a faulty motherboard. I can install windows on 2 nvme drives and a ssd drive. Updated drivers etc but as I soon as i shut down I can't boot back in on any of the drives.

i bought a buzzer for mine! Cost like £2 or something trivial. So handy. I don't understand why people don't put them in. The mobo still has a header for it!

Were you using any TPM settings? Did you try installing and running windows with all TPM turned off in uefi etc?

Did the OP mention which version of Windows he's using? I don't think Windows 10 cares about TPM settings, & Windows 11 won't install without the correct TPM settings in the bios...

tried with both TPM on and off.
Running Win10 home

I bought a bag of 10 buzzers on Amazon as it wasn't much more expensive than one. Pretty much a lifetime's supply
