    It's total capacity minus one drive, so 750GB before correction for base 10 and formatting.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    main rig = 2 x 80GB in RAID 0
    server = 3 x 9GB SCSI + 80GB + 60GB
    family pc = 40GB

    So 367GB but I also have a DDS4 tape drive on server so if you count that and 30 x 20GB tapes then just under 1TB of storage.

    Well done, WildmonkeyUK. With 1.67TiB, you've got me. Didn't expect anyone on Hexus to have as much as that.
    My server co-owned with my friend in China have:
    4x Seagate 7200.7 200G @ RAID5
    4x Maxtor DM10+ 200G @ RAID5
    4x Maxtor DM10+ 200G No RAID
    That makes up 2TB at Base 10 hmm. A lot of crap stored there. Kind of being a backup server. (Since colocation there is so cheap)

    I only have:

    1 x sata 200gb Western Digital
    1 x ide 40gb seagate

    Could do with getting quite a bit more drive space for all my video editing as an hour of video takes up about 13gb which leads me onto a question for all the guys like Wildmonkey and Eldren with multiple drives, How are you actually powering all the drives? What kind of PSU?

    Bloody hell what are you all downloading? The Arc De Triomphe?

    I have a 60GB drive for Windows and Program Files and a 160GB drive for storage, so that equates to........Carry the one.......220GB.

    And a 160GB external drive that gets the contents of my 160GB internal one backed up onto it every few weeks

    Lets see.....

    3 x 250Gb
    9 x 120Gb
    1 x 40Gb
    4 x 80Gb
    1 x 20Gb

    so that makes 2210Gb spread across 7 PCs.

    not wanting to sound like a noob - but inevitably I probably will, is it possible to hook-up SATA and ide drives on the mobo at the same time or is it all one or the other?
