    Recommend SFF for P4 2.4 + GF4 Ti4600

    Hello all,

I am looking to get a small form factor PC to put my bits in, I currently have them in a Abit IT7Max2v2 but its a complete utter waste of space and features, so i'm going to make it a server. Just need something small and simple to take

    P4 2.4GHz
    2x256MB
    GeForce4 Ti4600
    HD, DVD
and if the sounds aint that good onboard or no onboard a PCI for a sound card.

I'm not really that bothered about anything brand new and amazing, as long as it runs fast with the stuff above, i'm happy.

I dont norally ask about, just do it my self, but there are SO many breeds its hard to find one that will suite my needs without paying a fortune of a load od stuff i'll never use.

    Thanks for any info.

    Ok then, try again

Can anyone recommend a SFF case that will house a GF4 Ti4600? I was told this card is quite large and does not fit in some cases.

Is there a real big performace impact on running one of these SFF baresone systems? There appears to be a few popping up says "performance of a full tower"?

I got a little SB61G2 Reflexion for not a huge amount to run more or less exactly the same kit. It runs the 2.4 @ 3.0 and everything else perfectly. First time I'd ever run a P4 based system (always been AMD) but I have to say I was very impressed with it. I actually put an Asus V9999GT card in it for a bit, which isn't a short card and that was fine.

    Try an Abit Digidice http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...roductID=82048
I have just stuffed a Ti4600 in mine. Only downside to the Digidice is that its a bit noisy and can get hot.

if you could pick up a s/h SS51G or SB51G they'd both be fine as long as its a 400/533 FSB P4. No problems fitting a Ti4600 in either and the onboard sound is ok.
