XP2500 + Abit nforce2 - component recommendations?

Low noise is always a benefit (I guess) and I'm willing to consider a few price options.

BTW, I'll be using 2x256 TwinMOS, so the system won't be too dissimilar to yours.

for a CPU cooler i like the Zalman CNPS-7000A Cu (~£40), but you might also consider the big Thermalright boys, the SLK-947U (~£44), SLK-900A (~£39), or if you are on a budget the SK-7 (~£20), with a 92/80mm fan that meets your performance/noise requirements.

btw, i've got a volcano 11+ in mine at the moment and i don't like it very much!

i'm off out now, so i'll give a case/PSU recommendation later :)

if u want silence id recommend watercooling.. esp if u know mechanics/can make ur own blocks, cos then its a lot cheaper (just a bit more than air) - a decent w/c kit for everything could cost £450

mine will cost £60 in total for the waterblocks - cpu, gpu, gfx ram, tv card, 2x hdd and north bridge (this cost £20-25! [second hand]) the rest im making/will make soon.
+ £30 for eheim 1250 pump, includes tubing.
+ £10 for other materials
+ free res from a mate
+ £20 for second hand freezer
+ £12 for electronic components to control freezer
= £122 to cool my whole pc to around 5°c, only thing not on this list is condensation prevention, but i think itl be easyer to limit freezer so water is always ~15°c

compare this with the air cooling i had before:
slk800 = £50
many many fans = £20
zalman gfx heatpipe = £30
vantec iceberq = £14
silent hdd kit (this isnt cooling, but nessasary, the hdd blocks will replace this, so im including it here) = £20
total = £134

watercooling is only a good idea if u can make some bits urself to save money, or are rich, or if u have a lot to cool. for air i could have kept it down to £30 but it was too niosy, my w/c will be silent.

case - get soemthign made of alu, it looks nicer and much easyer to cut if u need to mod it. there was one for about £60? cant remember it.

psu - get a CWT from scan, they r suppost to be good (antec rebrand them? so they must be good). a 550w is about £50?
