well am looking for a P4 or better based Shuttle will need to run stable/fast and have the following minimum

latest Intel CPU and chipset and onboard graphics and LAN

must run trouble free with either XP/Win 2k Pro or Linux

will only be used for DC projects testing therefore will not be o/clocked

The SS51G is hard to beat in those requirements.....and is getting cheaper as it gets older.......it doesn't,however, have an Intel chipset......is it necessary?

    No bleh, Sis chipset pap.

If you want cheap go for an SB51/52 which is i845 based
otherwise if u want more power and a faster chipset go for an SB62/75 which are springdale and canterwood respectively.

Check the model numbers though, cause some models come with graphics (845G and 865G) and some without (845PE and 865PE).
I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!

cost dose not come into the equation - speed/stability with the minimum of additional components is what is required
Has shuttle produced a box for the Intel 64Bit CPU yet - will be testing the 64Bit AMD box next week
