    Laser Printers...

Starting my UNI course it appears i am going to be churning through paper like nobody's business! The print quota at the University appears ok for now but i would prefer to have my own printer ready to whip work off whenever i need to

I will only need the printer to produce B&W, does anyone know of any decent laserjets i can pick up in the price range £150 - £200. It isn't certain i will get one, but i am interested.

    Cheers

    Wilko

those ickle samsug are surprisingly good. HP are the undisputed kings of black & white, and their lasers are technically sound - if occasionally prone to failure.

as for epson, everyone knows how i feel about epson

What's the reason behind the Epson hating (besides the chipped cartridges).

I've had an epson running on un-official carttridges for 4 years now ,admittedly the quality is now crap, but after 4 years what do you expect.

the one I got @ http://www.rory.cc/printer was only 100 quid and it can do 16ppm and you can put toner save on which saves something like 40%. Its also pretty easy to transport and things since it is so small.
