    Radeon 9700 pro doesn't work in SN41G2 :(

    Bah
I've built up a new Shuttle system that seems to be running fine except it won't accept my standard (not AIW) Radeon 9700 pro. It worked fine with a Geforce 3 in it but as soon as the 9700 is in the slot the AGP Protection LED comes on and it won't power up at all. Nothing. It doesn't make any different whether the power connector is in or not - it always turns the warning LED on and stops it booting.

I've updated to the latest BIOS so I can't see what else I could possibly do.

Also the system seems to be rebooting itself a lot recently even though it's only running at stock speeds. Will a fresh install of windows help this do you think?

    Hi Russ
It's 100% definately not faulty as I took it straight out and put it back into my other machine. Runs like a dream.

I'm not sure whether it's just that 1 card that doesn't like the Shuttle or if the shuttle is faulty. I'm buying another 9700 pro so I'll certainly sell you this one if you're interested.

    Let me know

    Hi mate
It's not a powercolour I don't think - that's what my replacement was so I just put that one in the box. It's a built by ATI OEM card I think.

Really frustrated me - I didn't know you were gonna be putting yours in the same Shuttle system! Doh. Get her up on ebay (or passed on here) and get a PC2 - mine seems to work fine.
