    My Budget 4.2ghz system :)

    Board Asus P5AD2-X - Ocuk b-grade stock - £55
    Memory ddr2 4200, second hand - £80
    Case - Raidmax Samauri, ebuyer - £35
    PSU - Tagan 480w, OCUK deal of the week - £58
    DVD, Hard Drive - procured from old pc - £0
    Graphics Card - Dell X850 XT PE - £265
    Cooling - Reserator, kustom pcs - £155
    Monitor - Dell 2405, sold old monitor, bought 4 dells, sold 3 - £150

    Total cost - £798

    Sold my old chip, board, case, psu for £800.

    oh yeh, cpu - £110 on ebay 3.4J - so it cost me just over £100 in total.

    Waiting for the new pc zone before i run 2005, havent got a copy and not on broadband so its too big to download

    Sorry, chip, board, case, psu, and video card It was a 3.2EE, x800pro @ xtpe etc.

    I also sold 2 keyboards and my logi mx1000 for £80 and bought the logi combo shown for £74 from pc world, was about £100 spent in total.

    You sold an MX1000 for £80? Were they blind or did they get a keyboard included?

    I dont get how you got that TFT for £150, you bough 4 cheap and sold 3 on? How much you get the 4 at?

    Actually the 5XX-J and 6XX processors can often hit 4GHz on air with not too much difficulty. I've seen people get the latest Celeron-Ds that high too.
