Application wise for a disk which has the entire FAT32 file structure was scrambled, so much that it's not even recognised as a valid partition by DOS.

ouch - nasty one...it depends on how much time and or money you have and how much you really want that data ?

My NTFS partition got scrambled and I managed to recover pretty much all of it using Active@undelete, however it choked on files greater than 20megs...
I tried a few other free ones (which could do nothing) and some other trial versions (which crashed).
If you're trying to recover data you might try Davory from X-Ways. I use Winhex from the same folk on a regular basis and its spot on so would imagine Davory will be fairly efficient.

Have used O&O Disk recovery before, which worked. Best product I used is on my PC @ home, which seems to be switched off for some reason & I can't for the life of me remember it's name. :(
I've got it! It's BitMart Restorer 2000 absolutely toptastic undelete proggy! :thumbsup:
I also use Restorer 2000, great program. However BitMart's support is non existant. If you buy it and download it make sure you dont lose it.
