Do you not get ANY sound, or do you end up with sound coming out of the wrong channels? I have DTT2200 (5.1) speakers, and the colour coding for those doesn't match my NF7-S, so in my case I have to swap the black and orange plugs.

Got the same speakers on my a7n8x deluxe. On mine the green speaker plug goes to the green socket on the mobo for front channels, the black plug to the blue socket (line in) for rear channels and the yellow/orange plug goes to the pink socket (microphone) for centre/sub.

If you go to the speaker setup wizard in the soundstorm control panel then you should have to tick the boxes to say that you have the right plugs in the appropriate sockets for line in and microphone and that pretty much should sort it.

I also have create centre channel, centre channel 3d pan and create lfe channel ticked in surround settings. That seems to work for me. I'm using older drivers as i found the soundstorm controls worked better with these but i probably just didn't play around enough with the new ones. Either way the settings you require should be similar.

    Good luck sorting it out

Oh and make sure you've got it set on analogue not digital output.

I think i got it sorted now by swapping the orange and black going into the mobo.
    What a farce tbh ...

You may need to turn off digital surround.....that seemed to do the trick for me (creative 5300 5.1)
