I recently had to reinstall windows. Now i cannot associate a drive letter to my 2nd drive using the computer management program. It is listed as unreadble in this program and is listed in Bios.
How can i recover/view the data (over 200gb worth) ?

Have you installed the latest service pack for Windows? I think there's a limit on drive sizes (137GB?) if you don't install the latest service pack.
Edit: Assuming you're using XP, here's the Microsoft article: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;303013

"Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."
well.....recover data? Only think i would have suggested was formating the drive but i guess thats not an option
Is the second driver set to slave?
The drive is set to slave. The same setting as it was before the re-install.
I have not yet done the SP1 upgrade yet so i will give that a try. It is a 250GB drive.
Out of interest if the SP1 upgarde doe not work, then why are you able to view data on a removable drive which can be connected to other PCs via USB ?
Thank you.
I installed SP1 and it worked, i can now view all my data on the 2nd drive.
I must have bought the 2nd drive after i had already installed SP1 so i never encountered the problem before.
Cheers.
