Looking at getting a new motherboard and case to sort out my dell so its properly upgradable.
I want to get the silverstone TJ04 and a Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 PRO-G.
What i need to know is, will that motherboard be compatible with all my compnents:
P4 2.26 (Socket 478, 533Mhz)
1GB Crucial RAM 400mhz
Radeon 9800 Pro AGP 8x
The other bits that work on any motherboard

As its a Dell you will need a new psu with a new motherboard.
Also it looks like you will need a SATA HDD.

Dell use Standard ATX PSUs AFAIK so they should fit without any problems.
You only need the new case and new motherboard.

Yea its a standard ATX PSU, got an atc silentX one in there at the moment.
Why will i need a sata hard drive? It has IDE on the board aswell
Yeah don't worry about needing SATA. IDE is fine.
Well i warned you, there has been lots of trouble with dell psus and non dell motherboards. Im not sure about the SATA thing. It seems to be some weird sort of ide not ultra 133

Some motherboards have IDE133 and some have IDE100. Makes no difference in real world.
And yea i know about the dell psu issue but mine is standard atx, the dell psu blew up and im on a non dell one now.
According to what it says on the motherboard spec it is IDE 33 or am i just being stupid?

I think IDE 33 is what older board and also CD/DVD Drives use (Would be 66)
I'm assuming this botherboard is decent as nobody has said anything negative about it. Ebuyer have it as one of their best selling boards P4 boards but i cant find a single review on the web :?
