    A Recommended Upgrade?

I have a Dell Dimension 4500 which i have modiffied slightly. The mods include a 9800 Pro, 1GB RAM, New PSU. I have the same problem as every other 'Deller' in that the case and motherboard are both proprietory. Fortunatly my dell has a standard ATX PSU Mount and connector so a replacment was easy to source.

My motherboard is out-dated and is well past its replacment stage. It's got AGP 4x, 266Mhz RAM/533Mhz CPU support etc

So i'm looking at replacing it with the Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 PRO-G SPECS

Is that motherboard a recommended one? Another small thing i'd like to know about the motherboard is can the cpu be undervolted with it?

Also need a new case so i was looking at the Silverstone TJ-04 with its fantastic looks, ali front which looks good and steel body which is quieter than ali apparently. It's also got 120mm fans which i would like for cfm:dB ratios.

    The case is this one.

So are both the case and motherboard recommended?

    Greatly appreciate any feedback

Hexus did a review on the Akasa's Eclipse 62 recently which seemed very good.
For upgrading the mobo hopefully some more hardcore techie person will be able to help you. Have a look through the intel mainboard list on the review page here:-

Thanks, don't really like the look of the akasa. I chose the motherboard on price really. I DO want that case and that leaves me about £50 for the motherboard
