My borther has an unstable regular desktop PC, recommended SFF to tranfser parts to?

Preferably Shuttle, preferably as cheap as possible, under £100 if possible, dont mind used as long as its in good working order.

    Here is what he has:

    Athlon XP 1800
    1GB DDR
    A couple of IDE drives
    A DVD writer
    Geforce 4 ti4600
    PCI wireless card

I'm certain i saw SK41Gs and SK43Gs for ~£80 on ebay about 6 months ago, why are they almost full price now?

EDIT: borther = brother, tranfser = transfer

    this one http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=84442

    or this one

    or this one

    this is the Sk43G http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...339&GroupID=87
which is above your price range like most of the above. If you want to go with shuttle try and get a secondhand SN45G V1 or V2 avoide the V3 as it seems to be a bit flakey. The Sn41G2 is also a good chipset both based on the Nforce 2 or like you said go with the Sk41G although they have been discontinued i believe so you will have to look around for a secondhand one. Hope this helps

Because they hold there value well like Apple products and also Socket A is nearing the end of its life so they are making less of them. Supply/Demand

    PC CHIPS SFF computer? Eww!

Look into aOpen or Biostar computers. Some are as little as £60 but at around £100-£110 you can get a pretty nice Biostar (highly recommended by my mate).
