    Psu & Gfx.

Hello people, I hope I'm posting in the right section, this forum look so confusing to me.

Before I buy these goods I want to make sure that they will do the job etc, (I'm a bit of a newbie.)

PSU : I currently have a crappy PSU and it really wont be good enough for the graphics card I want.... Here is the PSU I'm thinking of getting : http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...roductID=97197

It's only a cheap one but if it will run my computer then I'm happy.

GFX : Nothing to powerful, just a 7600GT, going to be better than my current 6600GT LOL !! :

    These sounds ok ?

Here are the rest of my system specs if they are helpful :

    Intel P4 - 3.00GHz
    1GB Ram

If there is any more information you need to know please just ask.

    Thanks.

Anything that suggests it is 480w and is under £20 is lying to you, or stolen. Not good either way.

If you are looking at a 7600gt alongside your current CPU, then you need to be looking around the 400w area - but at decent PSUs. A friend of mine used this in his P4 build, hasn't had any problems with it, but if the budget stretches then I would get this for peace of mind, and the knowledge that you've got one of the best PSUs on the market powering your system.

Thats a good psu if you can stretch to it, avoid cheapo ones, more trouble than they are worth when they go wrong

That PSU is a absolute rubbish and i wouldnt let it within a million miles of ANY rig......... XCLIO or Fortron do decent units for around £40. If you stick wiuth your original choice then we will talk soon when it blows your rig.
