an official answer to the question, albeit on an obscure board with purple connectorsDear Sir:
I have checked and usage of this CPU type should not present a problem
as the internal architecure of the CPU is still .09nm as well as a having a
standard core voltage of 1.4v

Subject: Soltek SL-K890Pro-939 CPU Compatability
Does the SL-K890Pro-939 support new Venice-core AMD Athlon 64
Processors? The compatability tables on the Soltek website mention San
Diego (Venice with 1Mb cache), but not regular Venice chips.
