    2 PSU's

It seems by looking various monitoring programs, that my volts are low on my PSU(480w Thermaltake). BSOD/random restarts galore. So i thought to take off some strain, i would power my drives with a 360w Thermaltake i have lying around. Quick fix, or will the volts still be low after i take strain off? It's constantly blowing hot (warmer than i've felt before) air out from my PC, warm enough for me to not need heating of any way shape or form for my room.

I have no money to get a new one, so was wondering how could i get both PSU's to kick in at the same time when i press the button on my PC?

Cant really see why the PSU cant handle a 6800GT, 3 HDD's and 2 opticals though.

    Cheers

Seems to be a temperature issue.

While the CPU is 35oC, the chipset hangs around the 46-48oC mark. Took off the sidepanel and its fine, whereas with the panel on, it couldnt stay in Windows for one minute.

Thing is, my 6800GT covers the chipset fan. So i don't know what options i have to cool it better

    Anyone help?

    Thanks again

Spend a few £s on a multimeter and measure the voltages yourself, its quiet liekly the monitoring software / bios is wrong, think it gets the figures from the bios.

What case fans have you got? bad circualtion could cause probs.

1 120mm fan intake, 1 120mm fan exhaust. Heatsinks and coolers are stock. Think i have the answer though.

The chipset cooler/fan on my motherboard is right near the graphics card. If im thinking correctly, the card is blowing air into the case, ie not out/to the slots in the rear of the case. Thus it is blowing warm air directly onto my chipsets fan, which is why the temp is so high compared to the rest of my system.

This explains what i mean. Notice the PCI-E slot? Then look at the fan.

So, arctic cooler i think, can't think of anything else.

Not a clue which way the air is going, im not one for sticking my fingers in my PC quite close to 2 spinning fans. If someone knows, which way is the air pushed from the XFX6800GT's? I always thought it was blown towards the front of the case to cool the "fin like" parts covering the ram on the graphics card?

Getting a bit warm sat here, it's pumping out some serious heat!

I noticed that when assembling my machine, though I have a 6600. Fortunately, i've not had to think about that particular problem...
