    O.C. - abit ic7-g vs. albatron 865pe pro II

there was an article linked to the hexus.net home page about OCing a Pentium 4 2.4C processor easily to over 3.2 ghz at nearly 1200 mhz fsb with the Albatron 865pr proII motherboard. on the website for albatron they advertise a 1200 fsb ability... however i do like the reputation of abit and their ic7-g is a really clean looking board with nice features.. but will it support a comparable overclock?

Should do, both use the same chipset don't they? However I wouldn't take the risk if the Albatron is well known for high o/c's esp if that's your primary interest. Obviously not all CPUs will achieve such an o/c but it's nice to know the mobo won't be a limiting factor. Either way you'll be fine but for me the Albatron probably narrowly nicks it ... it should be a tad cheaper too. ALbatron are a very well respected brand, they were rated very highly right from the GF4TI launch where their cards were among the very best, esp for o/c'ing (P Turbo series).
