Think I'm Done with new rig spec can someone clarify if this is ok

Also need some advise on a decent Graphics Card and where to get it.
Is the Ram ok and how would this perform for overclocking ?

Looks like a nice system!! Just to let you know Dabs are selling the San Diego at £211.

And......remember to let me know how you get on with the installation of the San Diego with that mobo's bios!!

    Good Luck!!

    For Gaming 100%

will check out dabs for sure i was looking at that card from overclockers < think i will go for it, will try and find a review.

Do you think they'll be any probs with the bios on that board ?
I've noticed that DFI do 3 different boards in that range, anyone know the differences between them ?

Christ, that rigs pretty much like mine! I'd say that gonna be fine.

But, i had to drop the multi for the SD to be 100% stable on my board with the BIOS that it had when shipped. With it being the DR and not the D, i can't get a BIOS update yet so i cant say how it'll overclock as it's probably not going to.

The ultra is the normal Nforce4 ultra, the sli-D is the sli one and the sli-dsomething is the sli with more sata ports and something else pointless.

If you are getting the DFI and it is the SLI version get a 6800 Ultra and artic cooler / 6800gt. If not get the card -mb- mentioned, or something similar.

Yeah I think I will go SLI, whats a decent make of the 6800 Ultra ?

I've been reading that the ATI X50 PE is the card to have though,
Can I buy the SLI version of the board and use an non SLI card in it ?

XFX is a good make. The ultra ultra highend might be the Asus, but it costs about £400 IIRC. If I was you I would get the XFX.

I agree about XFX. I have one of their 6800gt's in my shuttle and it runs really well, evenn in those tiny confines!

I would suggest looking at other RAM, as corsair is very good, but also very pricey. Why not get a 1gb of twinmoss pc3500 (or pc3200) BH5, they have a reputation for excellent overclocking, and are around £100, so you could save the £76, or buy something more pricey for the computer.

    Just my 2p.

IF I was you I would stick with Corsair, as they currently have the best RAM for overclocking. It is also very cheap right now (I bought mine for about £200 3 months ago)

Check out the top model here
