    NewEgg to UK?

According to the Inquirer well know e-tailer NewEgg will be coming to the UK this year. I know they are pretty well thought of in the US and are already up and running in France. I guess more competition can only be good for prices for us poor saps addicted to new hardware....

I wish they price the same or at least very close to US, if not it will be pointless to come here.

And they have a huge range in US doesn't mean they will have a huge range here. Newegg @China doesn't have a big range (For example they only have 17 products in PC memory, not even a Single piece of ECC / REG memory)

I hope they have competitive prices like the american version. The USA site never fails to depress me by reminding me how much extra i pay for the exact same thing over here

And we'll hopefully get the same level of customer service that US Newegg customers get.

    Not really

They'll offer an huge range I bet, and a good alternative, their prices wont be the same as the US, dont be silly, they call us rip off Britain for a reason, prices will be similar to what we already pay I reckon.

If I was ebuyer, I'd be soiling my thermal Y-fronts, right about now

Im starting to hate Tescos, they'll be like Microsoft before we know it, monoploising, theyve diversified into so many markets, loans, insurance, phones, dvd rentals, now maybe even PC Hardware just in the last few months, they'll be snapping up everything before you know it, I hope they dont buy dabs, there valued at 50M, which is a splash in the water of their 2 billion profit they made last year...

Its inevitable that consilidation will happen, wal-mart did it in the US but then it encourages future growth with more people focusing on quality and understanding the demands of the customer. It was this that led to NewEgg's rise, its reputation.

I for one hope NewEgg do make it here, and soon. Having been through a raft of different stores buying stuff of late, our marketplace needs to have quality, price and respect for the customer, something UK businesses are really lacking of late.

but there are good ones in the UK - CPU City, Kustom etc.
However, people want the service of the good ones with the lowest possible prices of the ones that have poor cs.
They won't get that from Newegg either as they aren't the cheapest in the US plus it will be interesting to see how Newegg finds the different consumer protection legislation in the UK.
