    More what ram!

A freind of mine is building a bit of a beasty gaming rig, and looking to get 2X1gb stickss in dual channel. The world of ram seemes totaly baffeling to be, other than looking at speeds?

    Any recomendations?

They run nice and fast, don't know if they are the fastest, but they run fast enough for me.

how can you say that when the producer of bf2 has already stated that in order to get the best out of the game your need 2gigs of ram.

and if you ever had 2gigs of ram you`d see that games do run a hell of alot better with 2.

You may not need it but quite a lot of people do. My ram usage is 1226MB now with 24 MSN windows, 2 P2P progies, a few explorer windows, firefox, irc, rdp, etc and a 256m VM. The remaining 310m barely enough for me to start some xvid encodings, I remember HL2 @ 1600x1200 draws 700m of memory. Swapping really LAGS.
