What is your ideal SFF PC?

    Make your own SFF rig....

    What's your ideal SFF PC?

Mine would have to be something similar (but smaller) to the Cooler Master 630. Stunning metalic black finish, with a motherboard with all the toys onboard.

-- SATA, onboard DVI, suitable onboard graphics such as a Radeon 9500? of course it would have to have an AGP slot incase I wanted to upgrade to a better card in the future. Enough space inside for around 2 Hard drives. You cant fault the shuttle heatpipe idea so that would have to be an element of my ideal SFF PC.

some kind of hush pc type cooling system but in a shuttle type case, without the space they have for the floppy drive. the case would have some kind of massive heatsink built in so that the cpu could be cooled silently, and would come with a built in 100w silent power supply built in as well. it would have a built in hard drive holder that surrounds the hard drive to make it quieter as well.

Im with ya on that all except the shuttle bit. I prefer the flat 1/2U look over "box".

Wouldnt mind a silent (and i mean total fanless) mini itx p4 box, but with AGP, or some DECENT graphics onboard. And proper harddisk isolators and coolers would be nice too.
I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!

something of useful shape. maybe an iso-standard monitor base, so you could have a new imac style setup. not worth having good onboard gfx cos it'd add £100 to the cost. silent would be nice, 1hdd (just buy a bigger one if you want more space), 1 pci slot, 1 built in dvd/cd combi drive and a built in fdd/mem card reader. maybe have another box that looks the same as an option for further expansion, ie special cable and you can plug in say 2hdds, an optical drive and 3 pci cards into this box, so users wanting expansion can use sff (in a way) too

SN45 mobo with S-ATA in an SN41G2B case , silent psu and cpu fans, silent nb cooler.

Perhaps the agp slot slightly further inside the case so you can use a zalman cooler

I like the new P4 Hush, but it is massive!!

My ideal SFF needs to be:
    Silent
    Small
Shape not too relevant, cos if it's small enough to carry about, I don't care. (Or maybe come in different shapes so you can choose which design you prefer).
    Have real attention to detail
    High quality build
Be able to do everything (ie be a PC, PVR, TV, Games).
Uber connectivity: DVI, VGA, iRDA, Wi-Fi, USB, 1394 etc...

Hmmmm, Sounds suspiciously like a new product that is to be released early next year....
