    SN25P issue

    To put it basically

I put a memory stick duo, into a duo adapter, into my card reader. It finds it and lets you use it just fine. I take it out and put it back in and get nothing at all, the device manager just says that an error has occured (it doesn't notify you, you have to go in manually) and to fix it unplug and plug the card back in. Still no worky. Restart, works fine but same again if you unplug it and plug it back in. This means everytime i want to use the card more than once i have to restart.

    Any ideas?

hmm I had this problem with my, now ex, SB86i.

I could get it to work by going into device manager, disabling the reader, removing the media from it, reactivating the reader in device manager and then plug it in, ok so its annoying but it saved me a reboot.

Nevermind, i've just figured it out

The card reader IS a USB device which means when you safely remove the hardware, you're safely removing the card reader and you can't enable it unless you unplug and plug it back in again (reminder it's on the inside of the shuttle) or if you do a restart. So i have to have an icon in the corner all the time to remind me it's there fs!

thats nothing heh, when I had the SB68i I had 16 drives in my computer, I just turned off all the ones in the device manager I would never need to use.

It was a right pita when the you have 2 6-1 card readers lol (Shuttle and monitor)
