    Talking Need more

Ok current setup is as follows :

    PIV 2.8C ES @ 3.36Ghz (12x 280 1.6V)
    Abit IC7MAX 3 Mobo
    2x OCZ PC3700Gold (5/4)
    9800 PRO 256MB
    2x WD Raptors Raid 0
    200GB Maxtor PATA HDD

Cooling is provided via the Astek Waterchill setup cooling the CPU and GPU.

Anyhow this setup is more than enough for my needs but I keep thinking theres more to be had

Being a ES chip I have access to multi's 12 - 14, now ive tryed every multiplier and FSB combo and pumped lots of voltage through the setup but it just doesnt seem to want to be stable at anything over 3.4GHz.

Now Ive had this particular chip up to 3.8GHz on a prommie so I know what this chip can do, granted im not running a prommie now but surly with watercooling and volts it should go further than it is at the moment?

Are there any users out there with simalar rigs that know of any tweaks to get more speed? I tryed Mr Meltdowns suggestion of disabling CPC and this allowed me to get up to 280FSB, anything higher and I have problems booting but i suspect this is the limit of the board as 280 is pretty high

Its not that it needs to be faster, Its just that I feel there is more speed to be gained from this rig and I need to unlock that speed

If its there why not use it

I had to inform you, but water tends to not flow very well below 0 degree's.

    Not very well at all.
